Linden's Old Church was built between 1483 and 1510 with the Dominican monk Father Josephus as master builder. Without major renovations, it served as a parish church until the 1860s, when, in connection with the construction of the new church in Linden, it was decided to demolish the old church. Among other things, the medieval brick vaults were destroyed, and the church stood in ruins for decades. Between 1911 and 1928, the annex was renovated, with the addition of the present wooden vaults.
