The steel drawbridge in Dziwnów is one of the few attractions of this type in Europe. It connects the mainland with Wolin Island and is located on the Dziwna Strait. Thanks to its electric balancing mechanism, asphalt and steel structures weighing 35 tons can be lifted in just a few minutes. In the summer, the bridge is open on even hours and on other days as needed. Opening the span allows ships to pass through the strange strait (source: tropter.com/de/polen/dziwnow/bascule-bridge).
