One of the most evocative aspects of the route is the opportunity to admire a panorama that unites two worlds: the intense blue of the Ionian Sea and the soft contours of the surrounding hills. From the openings along the trail—especially in the higher sections near Monte Soprano—the gaze sweeps across the Alto Ionio Cosentino, all the way to the first rolling hills of the Basilicata region around Matera. The color contrast is spectacular: the green of the woods and olive groves meets the blue of the sea, creating a natural scene that constantly changes with the light and the seasons. On clear days, the horizon stretches so far that it seems to touch the sky, offering stunning photographic views.
