This section of the cycle path from Bolzano to Merano follows the Adige River and, in the section near Terlano, is a pleasantly flat, fully paved path. Here, you cycle directly along the river, surrounded by orchards and vineyards, with unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. On one side, the Tschögglberg rises with its wooded slopes, while on the other, the foothills of the Dolomites open up. Small villages with distinctive church steeples lie along the path and provide landmarks. This section of the route feels quiet and expansive—ideal for cycling at a steady pace toward Merano, with frequent views of the open Adige Valley.
