The cave opening can be seen a few meters above the ground. If you stay very still, you can hear the Hollen (goblins) whisper softly;)

Well signposted and moderately difficult circular route with changing terrain. Sure-footedness and sturdy shoes are advisable, the route is not wheelchair accessible. Interesting nature and rock formations with four stations and corresponding information boards - recommended.

Not to be forgotten on the way from the Lütersheim sports field to the Hollenkammer the remains of Ödelbeck Castle and on the further way along the Watter a detour to the Kattekurts cliffs, a huge rock face that was the undoing of the farmhand Kurt Katte.

I have been here many times, by the Watter with the rock formations and the Hollenkammer, but I have not yet found the chamber itself.

The sandstone massif of the Tentenberg is well known among climbers. Just as it is well known among geocachers ;-) There is a "multi-cache" to be found here: GC17YW8!

The cave is located behind a remote sandstone portal. The Hollenkammer was a pagan place of worship and its name goes back to Wotan's wife.

According to legend, Hollen (elves) lived in the cave. The elves were only noticed by their good deeds or pranks on the people in the area.

A legend about the servant and the Hollen says that a servant from Lütersheim was once working in a field near the Hollenkammer. He heard a knock. He thought the Hollen were baking cakes and called out: "Holle, bake me a cake too!". The next time he turned the plough, he came to this spot again and saw a cake lying on a cloth. At first he didn't want to take it. Then a Holle called out "If you don't take the cake, I'll scratch your eyes out!" So he took it.
Nowadays there is a bench at the sandstone portal of the Hollenhöhle and the cave is home to a colony of bats!

By the way: The coordinates of the Hollenkammer are as follows: 51.378333, 9.112222 (+51° 22' 42.00", +9° 6' 44.00"). Update, 4/27/22: the coordinates are incorrect.
