As of May 2021: The view over the foreland to well beyond Springe has been cut. The forecourt of the refuge is again a worthwhile destination for all those who are sad ;-)

It is worth coming up here at any time of the year and at any time of year. 3 ways lead here. The direct one from below is an alpine path, from the left there is a gently wide path uphill or from the right from the Taternpfahl over a narrow path
