The new viewing platform is located on the Merkersdorf circular hiking trail, near the transition from the plateau to the 120-meter-deep Thaya Gorge. From here, a sweeping view opens up over the famous circulating mountains, formed by the Thaya River's deepening around three million years ago. The 16-meter-high, 28-meter-long, and up to 2.3-meter-wide observation deck is designed as a walkway that gently leads through the treetops like a treetop walkway, utilizing the natural gradient to eventually tower above the surrounding trees.
