The original church consisted of a box choir and a relatively short ship, the north side still has three small arched windows and - west then - a walled portal. The arches of these openings are already made of bricks. Already in the second quarter of the 13th century, the church was begun to the west to a new one
Portal axis and two window axes in field stones to extend. The northern of the two younger portals is still late Romanesque with round arches and stepped framing by surrounding bands of round shaped bricks. More sophisticated and elaborate is the early Gothic south portal, which was built only after 1250, in the original building, which was renovated in 1909. In his frame, which is made of glazed and natural red bricks, there are two pairs of thin pillars with stone capitals.
In the late Middle Ages enlarged south windows received 1904 their today's form. In late Gothic (14th / 15th century), the massive brick tower was built. With the aperture structure still preserved in the north and east gables and the squat eight-sided helmet, it resembles its neighbor in Esgrus.
