The Roman Catholic St. Lambertus Church is located in the center of Swalmen on the Markt.

A new church was built shortly after 1452 to replace a small Romanesque church. In 1895-96, this church was replaced by the current neo-Gothic church, designed by architect C. Franssen.
The old tower was spared. Unfortunately, it was blown up in 1945. During the neo-Gothic restoration of the tower in 1953, it was raised by a section.

The tower contains bells by Johannes Bourlet from 1679 and Alexius Petit from 1753. The interior is covered by stuccoed rib vaults. The furnishings include a bluestone baptismal font on a baluster base and a marble holy water font, both from the 17th century. Jos Thissen also built a pulpit for the church in 1917, and W. Geraedts created the Stations of the Cross in 1948.
