On November 10, 2007, after a storm, one of the trunks broke. It is believed that the fir tree may be 160-180 years old. It is said that Napoleon cut off the top of the small fir tree while walking, which is why it grew so strangely. Experts tend to believe that this tree was specially shaped by man, or damaged by natural factors. This is the only common fir tree of such an unusual shape not only in Lithuania, but also in Europe.
