Cross the Weser at the historic ferry station.
The boatman and fishing village Heinsen is one of the oldest settlements in the area and was mentioned in a document as early as 832.
The "Förderverein Personenfähre Heinsen e.V." has been operating a passenger ferry at the historic ferry station in Heinsen.
The ferry service is guaranteed in the summer half of the year by volunteer ferrymen.
A newly acquired ferry has been taking people and bicycles safely across the Weser since 2018.
