The Schächerbach flows naturally through meadows, fields and forests. The name comes from the mhd. "Schachere" = robber, plunder. And so it is not surprising that ancient legends entwine around the numerous springs and ponds around the Schächerbachtal, which transport hikers back to bygone times.
