The ancient Quang Tri Citadel lies on the Thach Han River. This was the fiercest battlefront of the Vietnamese people's resistance against the US Army. It was the common grave of numerous soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the peace and independence of the Vietnamese people. Today, the Quang Tri Citadel is a popular destination for numerous tourists from home and abroad. Unfortunately, very little remains.
