According to the 1629-30 census books, the village of Lazarevo is listed as the patrimony of the Murom labial elder Druzhina Yuryev and his brothers. The stone Church of Archangel Michael was built in 1893-1895 using funds from the noblewoman Pelageya Artemyevna Bychkova. A tomb was built near the northern wall of the church, over the resting place of Saint Ulyania. In 1889, it was replaced with a new one made of cypress with embossed images of the main scenes from the life of the saint. During the Soviet period of Russian history, in 1931, the church was closed. The tomb of the righteous woman was transferred to a museum, and in 1989 it was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church (now the tomb is in the Nikolo-Naberezhny Church in Murom).
