The view from the "Great Pulpit" is phenomenal. On clear days you can enjoy a wonderful panorama from the Schneeberg, over the Semmering, Wechsel, Bucklige Welt, Rosalia and the Wiener Becken. With good visibility, the view extends to Lake Neusiedl.
The Wilhelm Eichert hut is one of the oldest shelters on the Hohe Wand. It is also the highest mountain hut on the Hohe Wand. With its idyllic location on the plateau of the “Great Pulpit”, it is a popular meeting place for nature lovers, mountain hikers, tourers, via ferrata users and climbers.
