This bronze sculpture depicting a boy named Staś with a slingshot is part of the "Głogów Children" series designed to decorate the main square of Głogów, Poland. The 1.2-meter tall statue, created by sculptor Maciej Cendlak, will be positioned behind the town hall facing the cloth halls. It follows the first sculpture in the series - a girl named Pola feeding pigeons - which was installed two years earlier and has become a popular tourist attraction.

"Staś with a slingshot" is a small urchin, measuring about 1 m in height, which was placed in the Market Square in 2013, behind the Town Hall. It commemorates the famous Defense of Głogów from 1109, when Emperor Henry V of Salic ordered hostages, including children, to be tied to siege engines.
