Here, unfortunately, one of the best child actors in modern Czech history died. Tomáš Holý was and still is my favorite child actor. When I was little, movies with his cast entertained us the most. Here, unfortunately, in this place in Polevsko, in 1990, his life ended. Honor to his memory!!

It has been twenty-five years since actor Tomáš Holý tragically died in a traffic accident between the villages of Kytlice and Polevsko in the Český Lipsk region. He became famous for his leading roles in the films How to Get Dad to the Reformatory, Under the Jezevčí skálou, and On the Poacher's Trail.

Tomáš Holý (March 17, 1968, Prague – March 8, 1990, Polevsko) was a Czech child actor. He was the most famous Czech child film star. At the 1979 Monte Carlo Film Festival, the jury named him the best child actor since Shirley Temple Black.
