Osh Polder Dam – an embankment built on both banks of a river to protect surrounding areas from flooding.
A polder is a land reclamation system designed to protect an area from flooding, or to drain an area enclosed by a protective dike and from which runoff is pumped. The construction of the Osh Polder began in the 1980s, and the work was completed in 1991.
