It's always impressive and surprising how, during the production process, demonstrations take place right next to the sales area, seemingly randomly assembled strips of boiled, colored sugar are transformed into small, edible works of art—some with text on them. The preparation of the material from the individual components and colors, as well as the painstaking hand-stretching of the pieces on large hooks, which is done in the heat of the ovens, is impressive.
