At the end of the path, a superb viewpoint awaits you.
Only the relief betrays the presence of a fortification here, as all the beautiful stonework was reused to build the village of Laborie. This castle, built in the 11th century, belonged to the Lestrange family. The lords of Lestrange provided many religious and royal dignitaries. In the 14th century, Guillaume de Lestrange, one of the most famous, was the emissary of two popes from Corrèze (Clement VI and Gregory XI).
