The game gate is located on the wooded Steinberg in the Hildesheim district of Ochtersum. It has a size of approx. 60,000 m², has existed since February 27, 1968 and is home to over 300 animals. There is a small sanctuary for owls and birds of prey that would no longer survive in the wild due to their injuries.

Information boards are attached to the aviaries, which provide information about the special features of the animals.

A great destination for nature lovers of all ages! Free parking, and no entry fee for the enclosures and playground 😄
The money saved will then be spent on food at the Kupferschmiede restaurant, but on the one hand, this is avoidable, and on the other, it's worth it because the quality of the food and service is excellent! A lovely outing.
