How attached the peasants were to their leader Wincenty Witos in Majdan Sieniawski is evidenced by the fact that after his death in 1945, at the initiative of the then mayor Mikołaj Marczak, a cross was erected in his honour, on which a lime board with the inscription was placed: "To the Leader of the Polish People Wincenty Witos - the peasants of Majdan Sieniawski". The cross was located at the entrance to the village, on the right side of the intersection. However, after a short time, on the orders of the Internal Security Corps, the inscription was removed from it. The current one, standing in the same place, was renovated in 1985 at the initiative of the local parish priest, and the removed inscription returned only in 2010 - on the 65th anniversary of Witos' death. It was placed on a new granite slab placed in front of the cross. Thus, the long-standing dreams of the Majdan peasants about permanently maintaining the memory of their leader and three-time Prime Minister of Poland, whose merits for the village and the nation have been repeatedly confirmed, have come true.
