One of the most famous places in the UK, Land's End is the most westerly point of England. It's located on Cornwall's jagged coast and has numerous hiking and cycling trails leading past it, including the South West Coast Path. It's also one of the end points of the Land's End to John O'Groats multi-route adventure.

Land's End itself has become somewhat of a tourist destination, with cafes, attractions and the famous sign with distant places marked on it. Its busyness aside, it is often either the beginning or the end of endurance activities, and has a special place in the hearts of those who visit.

Probably on the bucketlist of anyone travelling Cornwall - which is also part of the problem.- It is actually quite nice, but also overly touristic. If you come for the views and nature rather than the geographic speciality just hit the coast a couple of miles north or south and you will have a much better experience.

A nice place where a lot of people are there food and drinks, a museum not to mention the souvenir shops in Rauhen quantities and a bit of hype. But of course a terrific landscape.

It's a bit like the Niagara Falls or similar tourist hitspots. You have to have been there, but when you are there you are caught in a tourist circus that is common to a fairground. Thank goodness a few steps to the south are enough, and then it quickly becomes quieter

This point is of course the classic one and you have to head there just for the photos. But it's better to leave the tourist center to one side and continue walking along the wonderful coastal path.

There are places you can hardly pass by on a Cornwall holiday - even if you know that the place itself is nothing special. Land’s End is such a place. You don't get to Land’s End because the cliffs here are particularly dramatic and breathtaking, or because the green hilly landscape in the hinterland is particularly idyllic. You don't come here because you expect great entertainment from the visitor center. Land’s End is a symbolic place: the western end of mainland Britain.
There is something in the name that sounds like wanderlust. It is a turning point (for example on a Cornwall round trip), a way marker, a starting point or an end point. Anyone who departs the south coast of England has an eye on Land’s End and steers towards it from the moment they leave the ferry in Dover. Anyone taking a tour of Cornwall will reach the Bergfest here and head north. If you want to walk along the South West Coast Path, use Land’s End as a starting or ending point.

Land's End is the most further west that you can go in the south of the UK and as the name suggests is where the land ends. Its a well knows starting/ finishing point for cycling and hiking due to its geographical location.

You can't miss this place if you're near here. Nothing is particularly dramatic here, and yet Lands End is a symbolic place; Lands End is the western end of mainland Britain. Lands End is much more: the end of the world, a landmark, a starting point or an ending point and dangerous for shipping. In front of and in the cliffs there is a ship graveyard, no wonder.
And for hiking fans: Land’s End is the beginning or end of one of the biggest hiking challenges in the UK: from Land’s End to John o’ Groats it is over 1,600 kilometers diagonally across the island. No two other points on the British mainland are so far apart, and connecting these two places runs from the most southwestern point in England to the most northeastern point in Scotland.

Quite crowded and, compared to many other parts of Cornwall, not nearly as beautiful. Anyone who arrives between about 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. has to pay for a picture with the famous sign! Before and after, another one is set up, and you can take free pictures.

In mid-October, it's already quite busy, and of course, if you're in Cornwall, you'll want to visit England's westernmost point.
On the other hand, there are also more beautiful spots that aren't as touristy.
