For me, the Hanskühnenburg is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the Harz Mountains. Here you can get delicious home-cooked food and the service is always very friendly. There are lots of places to sit outside, and if the weather isn't so good you can also sit inside and warm yourself up by the crackling fire. If the weather is good, you can enjoy a fantastic view in all directions from the observation tower. The easiest way to get here is from Stieglitzecke, but you can also get to the Hanskühnenburg from Osterode am Harz, Riefensbeek-Kamschlacken, Lonau and Sieber. You can also get here via the Harzer BaudenSteig long-distance hiking trail.

In the entrance area there is stamp box 144 of the Harz hiking pin.
