Starting point, or part of many walking and cycling routes.

Cosy centre within walking distance. Delicatessen shop 'Heerlijk' for breakfast, lunch, or coffee and cake. Or to fill up the supplies for the picnic basket on the way. The 'Verrassing' for a delicious dinner. Restaurant 'Lara' for the sublime pizza and other Italian and Turkish delicacies. Dessert at the Portofino ice cream parlour. A bit of shopping at Van Camp for walking shoes and clothing. Lunteren has everything when it comes to shops. Relax in the nearby sauna de Veluwe. Oh, there is so much more in Lunteren. Make it a great day! Or even better: holiday!

The photos show the complete station, built and opened in 1901/1902.

Yes, yes, I remember, in the early 1970s, when you could still buy train tickets there. As a child, I was allowed to go to Arnhem. My grandmother, looking after her glasses... had something tasty to eat, and I was also allowed to pick out something funny in the joke shop. For me, that was a world trip even at a young age. Even though Zoutelande was a bit further away on holiday.

The station later closed... Lunteren fought to preserve the station... otherwise, it would have been demolished.

For many years, it housed an art gallery owned by the Landman family: Galerie aan de kippenlijn (Gallery on the Chicken Line). Now, it houses several modern businesses.

It's a relief for Lunteren residents that the station still serves as a train station.
