The parish in Ribbeck has been campaigning for the reconstruction of the village church since the 1980s. The parish garden in the immediate vicinity was also restored in this context. It should invite you to linger and relax, but at the same time be perceived as a place of faith. The new conception allows you to immerse yourself in selected biblical stories in individual areas of the garden. In addition to the biblical stations, there are also additional areas in the garden that invite visitors to actively participate. In the front area there is the “garden of encounters” with a stage. There is space for church services as well as cultural events and the young visitors will find a place for themselves in the “kindergarten and play garden”. The two areas at the back, “Mourning and Request”, shown as a wall of lamentation and prayer, and “Thanks and Joy”, shown as a scented garden, aim to encourage discussion about one's own faith.
