Since the Middle Ages, there had been a castle here, which was destroyed in 1478. A defensive manor house was built in its place, which survived until 1847, when it burned down in a fire. The remains of this seat are a moat, partially preserved to this day. The next building erected in this place was a very impressive palace. It survived World War II and was inhabited, but without renovation, it slowly fell into decline. In the 1970s, it was abandoned and set on fire in 1982. The ruins were demolished. The palace was surrounded by a farm, of which several buildings have survived to this day. The coat of arms of the Schӧning family is located on the gable wall of the former palace outbuilding. The building itself has been heavily rebuilt and no longer resembles its former self.
