The Salt Trail near Storkow in the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park leads to four stations dedicated to rare inland salt springs – places where saline water naturally surfaces. These special habitats provide an important refuge for rare plant and bird species, such as the lapwing and the common snipe, and are protected under European law (NATURA 2000). The salt springs were once used commercially; today, they are primarily important for nature conservation and research. The circular trail provides information about the region's geology, land use history, and biodiversity at the stations at the train station, Storkow Castle, Möllensdorf Meadows, and Bruchwiesen.
