Walle is a district of the municipality of Winsen (Aller) and is quietly located on the southern edge of the Lüneburg Heath. With its long history and charming surroundings, it is a worthwhile stopover on a cycling tour through the region. First mentioned in a document in 1139, Walle has always been part of the parish of Winsen. As part of the administrative reform, the village was incorporated into the municipality of Winsen (Aller) on February 1, 1971.
The village is divided into two parts: The older part stretches along the country road with traditional farmhouses, while the younger settlement grew around a former brickworks – the so-called "Ziegelei" (brickworks). The associated clay pit became today's privately owned Achimsee.
Walle is located on several cycling routes, including regional loops of the Aller Cycle Route, and its scenic surroundings make it an ideal place for a rest stop. The nearby Waller Holz woodland, in particular, invites you to experience nature. Another highlight is the legendary Bruderbaum (Brother Tree) east of the village, which is surrounded by regional legends. Walle combines a historic atmosphere with natural tranquility – perfect for anyone exploring the Lüneburg Heath on two wheels.
