A great panoramic view. You should see this once in every season. Of course, autumn with its play of colors is highly recommended, but the snow also has a special charm. The paths in the national park are mostly very good and there is good signage.

The barrier-free nature experience area Wilder Kermeter is located in the middle of the Eifel National Park on the Kermeter ridge. There old and young visitors - with or without disabilities - can experience the "ecological heart" of the national park. On the ridge between Rursee and Urftsee, native mixed beech forests grow on a large area.

Located in the middle, the Wilde Kermeter includes a barrier-free network of trails and a panoramic view of the lake landscape.

Part of this experience area is the barrier-free nature exploration path "Der Wilde Weg": Ten mostly interactive stations provide information about the wilderness, forest development and biodiversity in the Eifel National Park. A wooden footbridge through the forest wilderness provides special insights into nature.
