La Push or Kʷoʔlí·yot̓ is a village at the mouth of the Quillayute River, surrounded by Olympic National Park on the coast. It's known for wild Pacific beaches like First Beach, with big waves. If you're hiking, you can purchase snacks, resupply at local stores, and dine at restaurants. If you are hiking the Pacific Northwestern Trail here, you can take an 11-mile road walk detour, or try to catch a local fisherman to ferry you across the harbor. Locals and the Coast Guard are accustomed to hikers doing it, but it's not a ferry service, nor does it guarantee a ride.
