Our forest rangers create open spaces in the forests, so that more light falls on the ground and a greater variety in plant growth occurs. You can see that the more natural forest that is created in this way quickly attracts more insects, birds and small mammals. The sand and gravel extraction in the area ends this year, the sand depot will remain for a few more years.

Military vehicles
The Ministry of Defence uses the Langenboomse Bossen for exercises of signal units. So you can hear gunfire and see military vehicles driving by. The war past can also be found in the forests. The German line, which ran from Boxtel to Wezel, runs through the area. You can find more information about this at the VVV Mill and the local history society.
