    The Melkhörndüne is the highest point (20 meters) on the island, from whose platform you can see the entire island. A wonderful place for bird lovers to watch the flocks of migratory birds. It owes its name to the nearby dairy, where the cows were milked back then. Melkhörn means "Melkecke".

                        Langeoog is ideal for cycling with its island-long paved path to the east, so today we first cycle over the neighboring sea dike, then past the Pirolatal and the Großer Schlopp to the highest point on the island, the Melkhorn dune.
                        Fantastic late morning light, as well as fantastic all-round views over the island.
                        Although Langeoog seems to accommodate significantly more tourists than its neighboring islands, there are no mass gatherings outside the village and island center.
