Naming
The Uwe Anderl Bivouac is named after Uwe Anderl (1948–1974), an outstanding Austrian alpinist from Upper Austria. He was considered one of the best climbers of his time and died in a fatal accident in the Dolomites in 1974 at the age of just 26.
