The abbey church (built 1852-1858) is a true eye-catcher. It's worth a visit for its magnificent stained-glass windows, an ebony reliquary of Saint Siardus, the oak choir stalls (1957), the Klais organ (1933), the cross above the altar, the Infant Jesus of Prague, and two paintings by J.E. Quellin: The Wedding at Cana and Jesus Simon the Pharisee.

The Church of Our Lady was built from 1852 in neo-Gothic style to a design by P.P. Stoop. Worth mentioning are the choir stalls, the organ, two paintings by J.E. Quellin: Wedding of Cana and Jesus at Simon the Pharisee, a Renaissance reliquary in ebony of Saint Siardus, the cross above the altar by Egino Weinert and The Child Jesus of Prague.

Since its restoration, the famous replica of the Last Supper, which Da Vinci painted at the end of the fifteenth century in the refectory of the Dominican monastery at Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, can also be admired in the church again. The replica was bought in 1545 by Abbot Streyters. The work in Tongerlo, almost 34 square meters, is said to have been made by his pupil Andrea Solario, under Da Vinci's supervision. According to some experts, it is the best replica in existence.

The neo-Gothic church with its high, white interior is the centre of the abbey. Here the Norbertine community celebrates the liturgy daily.
