One of Cologne's bridge connections between the city center on the left bank of the Rhine and Deutz on the so-called "Schääl Sick", which is often used by pedestrians. If you come from the Deutz side, you will notice that this bridge leads in a dead straight line towards the cathedral. Therefore, the railway trains have to take a sharp curve after passing the bridge to get to the main station. In terms of traffic technology, a slightly different route for the bridge would have been much more beneficial, but those "up there" (i.e. the Prussian rulers from the House of Hohenzollern, which gave the bridge its name) consciously wanted this straight axis towards the cathedral.

The Hohenzollern Bridge is a bridge over the Rhine in Cologne at river kilometer 688.5. Built from 1907 to 1911, the original structure consisted of two railway bridges and one road bridge. After 1945, only two railway bridges were rebuilt, with a third later added.
