The Mt. Hebo Road climb to the summit area in the Oregon Coast Range, heading towards the former transmitter site, is a steep but rewarding road bike challenge. Starting from the town of Hebo, you'll ascend aggressively over approximately 7.8 miles, gaining around 3,000 feet with a consistently steep average gradient of 7.0-7.4%, hitting pitches over 10% along the way through dense evergreen forests. As you near the top, the trees open up to provide impressive panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and coastal valleys, a dramatic contrast to the shaded climb.
