Blowhard Trail starts at the parking area on Cedar Canyon Road and climbs spruce and aspen forests to juniper and cedar forests, connecting with Crystal Springs Powerline Road to reach Blowhard Peak. The trail has excellent views of Cedar Breaks National Monument and descends 3,300 feet over 7 miles, with steep grades, tight switchbacks, and technical terrain, including loose rocks and roots. The upper section is particularly tough, with slopes averaging 22%.
