The highest peak of the Rigi is Rigi Kulm (1,797 meters). You can climb up via various hiking trails, all of which are very beautiful, or take the Arth-Rigi railway. From the summit you can enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Zug and sometimes a sea of clouds. The sunrise on the Rigi is particularly impressive. It is worth getting up early for this unforgettable experience.

Rigi Kulm, a popular destination for tourists.
In 1816 Rigi Kulm opened the first mountain inn in Switzerland. The opening of this hotel is considered the origin and birth of tourism development on the Rigi, in the region and in Switzerland. In the anniversary year 2016, this pioneering act was celebrated 200 years ago with extensive celebrations and a retrospective look back at a moving history.

A stunning walk up Rigi Kulm. A bit like walking up Snowdon in Wales...hordes of tourists, a mountain railway and cafes. Personally I thought this was great to see, so many people out enjoying this lovely mountain with its gorgeous views. A lovely day out if you want to hike with friends or family.
