There is a conference center below, you can see from the summit. Opened daily, nice waiters, could load my EBike and have choice to eat and drink. You can also sit outside.

Unfortunately there is only one kiosk on the summit (which apparently is closed on Sundays?); however, enough opportunities to sit down and to think about the lunch you brought with you. :-D

How do I get down the mountain?
With road and racing bike clearly back on the paved road!
To the north and east it's too steep for the bike!
Maybe you can slide it down the zigzag path (see map section); but at the bottom you come across a kilometer-long trail over many roots! Completely unsuitable for road bikes, dangerous in the wet even with the MTB ...

I myself drove a bit down the hiking path (gravel) past the Hesselberg mast and was then able to climb down a slope in the forest (135 ° to the right): Because of the loose, leafy (!) Ground, I got the MTB this Part pushed instead of driven! Still used both brakes!
