    Not quite at the highest point, but still on the summit plateau, is the beautiful miner's lamp. A so-called light, of course in a handy design, used to be an indispensable tool in mining, as this aid was usually the only source of light for the miner underground in the pitch-dark tunnel.     The 30 meter oversized landmark, painted bright red, was designed by Otto Piene (1928-2014), presented at the turn of the millennium and finally built in 2007 with great private commitment and the support of some investors.
