The Church of Nuestra Señora de la Cabeza in Huesa was built in the 18th century, at the initiative of the arzobispo of Toledo, D. Francisco Antonio de Lorenzana y Buitrón, in 1778. The church was built on the site of an old cave where the sacred image of Nuestra Señora de la Cabeza was venerated. The church played an important role in the religious and social life of the community, with the foundation of the Hermandad del Santísimo Sacramento in 1779, which was dedicated to charitable work.
The church is built in the Baroque style, which is characteristic of the 18th century.
The building has a rectangular plan with a single nave and a beautiful wooden ceiling (artesonado). The church has a tower with a base of square meters, characterized by a row of four straight openings with round arches.
The interior of the church contains several religious works of art, including a statue of Nuestra Señora de la Cabeza, an 18th-century statue of Jesús Nazareno, and a statue of San Silvestre. The church also houses a number of paintings and other works of art that highlight the church's rich religious tradition.
