Otto Leslie (b. 1896) was an early pioneer remembered for his horse-drawn sleigh. Leslie was born and raised in Manitoba. After homesteading in Saskatchewan, he came to Edmonton in 1922 and settled on a farm west of the city. For many years he gave sleigh-rides to locals and church groups. After harvest, Leslie would hitch his horses to a hayrack, or a sleigh in the winter, and pick up streetcar passengers coming to the area's school socials and dances. The Otto Leslie Park is in the Mayfield neighbourhood and has an area of 0.39 ha.
