At the height of the Krummenkreuz, a large clearing offers a nice resting place, but no far-reaching view as it is wooded all around.
The large cabin is private so not accessible. But you can sit down on the outside bench...

The Krummenkreuzhütte is a nice resting place to refresh. The forest trail behind towards Santa Balsien is really nice and pleasant to walk.

The covered bench on the outside saved us from running through rain and thunder on our Canyon Trail tour.
Good thing even if the hut itself is locked. If you have a picnic blanket with you, the large meadow next to the hut is also inviting.

There is a hut here at the Crooked Cross, it is roofed and has a bench on the outside. It's nice to take a break and refresh yourself at the fountain.
