A sculpture in the place where the oak tree named after Vytautas used to grow.
Although the oak tree itself is no longer there – it has gradually dried up, and it seems that the mighty tree did not explode in the spring of 1987, the legend about it is still alive today. It is said that the Grand Duke of Lithuania Vytautas rested under the oak tree while riding off to war with the Crusaders. He hung his sword on a branch and it tore through the trunk of the then still young tree, which is why the oak tree grew into a two-stemmed tree.
