Another tourist attraction at the Rocca di Angera is the Doll and Toy Museum. Opened in 1988, this institution presents itself as a valuable museum, one of the most important of its kind in Europe. Originally founded as a doll museum, it has been steadily expanded over many years. Today, the institution is not just a doll museum, but an exhibition, complemented by extensive sections for children's clothing and toys. A total of 13 rooms are dedicated to the eventful history of this timeless toy, whose origins date back to a collection of dolls from the Borromeo family. The collection now also includes celluloid dolls and specimens from non-European regions. The exhibition at the Rocca di Angera Doll Museum aims to document the transformation of toys from the early 17th century to the present day. Therefore, the collection includes accessories such as doll clothes, illustrations, and miniature furniture. A few years ago, a collection of slot machines and other toys from Tours was donated to the museum. Since then, the museum's collection has been enhanced with mechanical masterpieces, which today belong to the "Automata" section.
