              Walbeck Castle, also called Haus Walbeck, is a listed Wasserburg in Walbeck, a district of the city of Geldern in the district of Kleve in North Rhine-Westphalia. It dates back at least to the 14th century.

              The house was the center of the glory Walbeck. This was owned by the gifts of Nideggen. House Walbeck itself was first mentioned in 1403. Connected to the house and the glory was the nearby house Steprath. In 1452, the division of glory took place. The division between the owners of the houses Walbeck and Steprath lasted until the 18th century. After the 16th century, the owner families of the house changed several times. From 1653 those of Bönninghausen followed those of Bylandt and Gramey.

              After the extinction of the Walbecker line at the beginning of the 19th century, the ownership changed several times, and the complex served as a residential building at the beginning of the 20th century. Slightly damaged in World War II, it was initially a rest home for miners. Since 1955 it was the seat of the Institute for Christian Social Education. In 1980, the owner family sold it to the Christian Youth Village. Walbeck Castle has been listed on January 28, 1992 on the monument protection list of the municipality Geldern as number A 62. Since 2014, a hotel is housed there.
