The name Fischburgtal is only understood when you know that until the 19th century there was a natural lake of about 1 km - the so-called "bottomless lake".

About 10,000 years ago, where today Seeburg is located, a limestone rock began to grow, a so-called "barre", formed from Kalkausfällungen the water of the streams that flowed together here.
