This large and wide staircase is located in Koserow. It's beach access 6A. It also has a wheelchair lift. The corresponding rack is on the left hand rail. I do not know who has a key for operation.

A beach staircase was built in Koserow for around 1.5 million euros so that the beach can be connected to the stone coast. After the bathing season, a lift is to be built on the stairs. The stairs became necessary because the old structure was destroyed by storm surges.

The new stairs on Koserow beach have been available since Maundy Thursday 2019. Now the only thing missing is the elevator so that guests with reduced mobility can get up and down there.

The new beach exit stairs not far from the Streckelsberg, built for around 1.5 million euros, are as good as finished. Since Maundy Thursday 2019, holidaymakers and locals have been able to use the impressive building as an extension of Koserower Siemensstrasse.

The upper access road is still provisional because the lamps are still missing - a lift will be installed in the autumn. However, the ascent is already easy to walk on, which several holiday guests were happy to make use of.

Generous funding is in prospect, but the municipality first had to make advance payments. The construction of the new steel staircase had become necessary after destructive floods in the Baltic Sea.
