The Druid Stone is an impressive natural monument. The basalt cone was probably already used as a religious site by the Celts. Every year on Ascension Day, a procession leads to the Druid Stone. The Druid Stone originally had an even higher spire, which was probably demolished for tactical reasons during the Thirty Years' War. In 1979, the Druid Stone was struck by lightning. Since then, it has had to be supported by reinforced concrete beams.
